Bluebird Conditions Launch the 2026 FWT Challenger by Orage Season at Silvretta Montafon


Bluebird skies and fresh powder welcomed riders to the 2026 Open Faces Silvretta Montafon Challenger, the first event of the FWT Challenger by Orage series in Region 1 this season. Held on the demanding Zamangspitze face at 2,380 metres, the venue once again proved to be a true proving ground, offering 340 metres of vertical drop and steep pitches reaching 45 degrees.

FWT CHALLENGER RANKINGS

Only the top four male, two female skiers, and two male and one female snowboarder in each region, will be crowned FWT Challenger Champion and qualify for the FWT Pro.

About the FWT Challenger

The FWT Challenger by Orage series is divided into two regions: Region 1, comprising Europe, Asia, and Oceania, and Region 2, encompassing North and South America. Riders compete against each other within their respective regions in the FWT Qualifier, with the top spots securing a place in the FWT Challenger series, the last step before qualifying for the FWT. This system brings out the best in riders from around the globe, and ensures they all get a chance at qualification.
