about
Joey Leonardo grew up in Edwards, Colorado, skiing at Arrowhead from day one — a lifelong connection to the snow. After winning the Junior World Championships in 2020, he’s now stepping into the Freeride World Tour, ready to make his mark. Joey is known for linking features with smooth style and control, always favoring lines that feel fun rather than overly calculated.
Off the mountain, he cares deeply about the environment and hopes to pair his skiing career with work in ecological restoration. As he debuts on tour, his goal is simple: ski a run he’s proud of, make the cut, and enjoy every moment along the way.
The biggest challenge I faced in my early freeride career was getting over the fear of going bigger and pushing myself to ski to the best of my abilities… this coming winter is going to be the biggest step up and test of my career yet. I’m so excited.
