about
Lena Kohler, a passionate freeride skier, discovered her love for the sport during a transformative trip to Japan after high school. While she honed her skills in alpine skiing from a young age, it was the thrill of freeriding that ignited her spirit. Overcoming early challenges, including mastering jumps and tricks, Lena Kohler credits her supportive parents for her foundational training and inspiration.
With ambitious goals for the season, including showcasing her skills and debuting new tricks, Lena Kohler is excited about her future in freeride skiing and the evolution of the sport. She embodies the essence of freeride: self-realization, fun, and the joy of being in the mountains.
Lena qualified for the Tour from the 2024 FWT Challenger - Region 1. She went to secure three solid podium wins in the 2025 FWT, meaning she's certainly one to watch going into the 2026 season!
the meaning of freeride
Self-realization. Fun. I feel like I really blossom when I'm skiing, I can forget all my problems and live totally in the moment. Being out on the mountain with friends is the best thing.
